  1. Q Did everyone get an ac adapter? i didn’t get one and i’m continually replacing batteries. not happy
    A An ac adapter came in the box with mine.
  2. Q Does this pair with the Kardia App?
    A Not with the Kardia 6L. It used to but Omron "did a software improvement" which eliminated that feature among others. Since that software upgrade, the ability to download data to a phone is terrible. Sometimes works but not all the time. Then, when you eventually get to Omron Customer Service for help, you have to lose all of the data to get things working again. A VERY UNRELIABLE upgrade and no longer can trust the Omron ability to retain and transfer data from the BP7450 unit.
  3. Q description of cuff on 7450?, ie preformed or soft wrap?
    A Preformed with soft wrap overlay
  4. Q Can I set it for a second reading in 5 min and does it start automatically in 5 min?
    A To my knowledge. It can take a take a single reading or 3 readings at 15, 30, 60, or 120 second intervals. When set for 3 readings the machine starts automatically .
  5. Q What the difference between bp7450 vs bp785n
    A I only did a very quick comparison. Without digging deeper I did not find any difference
  6. Q I bought this model 01/05/2020. I've been getting high and low readings , found out its giving false redings, is it under warranty??
    A One possible solution to this is to take your reading 3 times and average it. It's recognized by international groups and the FDA that untrained users in non-clinical settings (like me) will suffer from accuracy problems. While Omron is highly rated compared to other home solutions, it is not a $1,000 product like our doctors have. I've found that other affordable brands have the same problem. I've had the best luck with Omron, but it's not perfect. Our product has been approved by the FDA and includes the option to automatically take 3 readings and average them. Yes, the FDA approved that function. Some Doctors don't realize that, because it 8s different from clinical procedures. So give it a shot. Also, I know my normal range for this device, and only call the Dr for a couple of high outlier readings.Hope that helps.
  7. Q Do the led numbers always stay this high contrast color he one i have now, the numbers turn red when my bp is high but i can't read the red
    A The numbers on the phone (if you have it paired and run the app) can be red or orange. Somewhere in the Android o/s, and probably apple, there is a way to accommodate color blindness or even turn the phone screen to B&W.The LED screen on the device itself is B&W only. And I have high BPvso I'd know. You might confirm that you are using BP7450 Omron 10 Series.Hope that's useful.
  8. Q can you use lithum batteries
    A Maybe I have a different user manual. It estimates the number of readings will be provided by alkaline batteries. The quick start guide says to install alkaline batteries (perhaps because those will last longer?). There are no cautions against using other battery types, but you'd probably want 1.5v and not 1.2x rechargeables.
  9. Q Can this work on children?
    A I agree, but to me 'children or persons who cannot express themselves' would not mean excluding an intelligent and knowledgeable child, such as a 7-yrar-old who has been explained BP and how the reading is taken, under adult supervision. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Cuff size may be too big for many kids.
  10. Q Can i purchase an hem-f31-b easy-wrap comfit and use it on my omron platinum 5450 instead of the d-ring cuff?
    A I wanted the smaller D ring cuff for my wife’s smaller arm and Omron insists that they are not compatible or interchangeable without giving any scientific basis. So we bought the smaller one anyway and it seems to work fine
  11. Q Some people are complaining about the blue valve getting broke so can you just leave everything connected?
    A Yes you can, we buy nice cover-box and everything stay conected. No problem at all.Three adults use it on a daily basis and so far we didnt have any problem. I've read about that valve problem, but we're just not trying to get that hose out at all. Once you’re done, put everything back carefully in the box.

  13. Q Do you have to pair it with your phone to work?
    A You do not have to pair it with your phone for it to work. You can still use it, and keep a history of your readings. Pairing it with a phone makes it convenient to easily look at your readings history, which you can also save them to a file.

    A For the price I find the Omron 10 Series BP 7450 to be very accurate and easy to use.

    A I really don’t know because mines has worked and been accurate since I bought it. I Love it & so does my doctor. U can also download the ommoron app
  17. Q Does this machine do three consecutive measurements for an average reading like some other machines?
    A Yes, the 10 Series has the averaging feature included.
  18. Q Does it calculate a MAP...mean arterial pressure?
    A Nope, but (diastolic) blood pressure is doubled and added to the higher (systolic) blood pressure and that composite sum then is divided by 3 to estimate MAP.

    A From the product description - does not appear it should communicate with Fitbit. I connected mine to my phone.     A My arms are very small and it works for me.

    A Limited warranty to be free from defect in material and workmanship appearing within one year from the purchase date when using in accordance with the instructions provided with the monitor

    A If the cuff that came with the monitor is not big enough, you will have to order a larger cuff that is compatible with the unit.
  25. Q When will Omron bp7450 bluetooth be compatible with current Android phones? I bought one not knowing it doesnt work with current software.
    A The Omron 10 (BP7450) is already compatible with Android phones. In order for the monitor to upload information to your phone, you will have to visit the Play Store and download the "Omron Connect" app. Once you set it up on your phone, you will have to pair the BP monitor to your bluetooth on the phone. Make sure to turn on the bluetooth feature on the BP monitor as well. Once you have recorded your BP measurements, go to the app and follow the instruction for uploading your information. I have it on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10 plus and it works just fine.
  26. Q Which model has the best accuracy Series 10 model 7450 or the Platinum 5450?
    A I’m happy with the 7450. Seems very accurate. They say it’s very accurate.
  27. Q Cuff is too small,Can ijust replace the cuff ?
    A Im, sorry I do not know if the other Omron cuffs offered on Amazon will work. I too thought the cuff too small and fought with it every time. The cuff expands but I needed help to get it on, now I have mastered it, don't care for the cuff, but it works for me now. Wsh i could help, perhaps their 800 number or website. Good luck!

  31. Q Is the device "Clinically Validated"?
    A I do not know if it is clinically validated, endorsed, recommended or otherwise has an official stamp of approval by any medical organization. However the Omron was recommended to me by my Nurse Practioner daughter-in-law whose employer hospital recommends them.

    A 10 series show dual LCD for convenience. Show the last and current reading side by side for comparison and blue tooth is great

    A You should install the app on your phone and set the bp monitor to pair via bluetooth. That is if you can install the app which in my case I cannot. Too long to explain here and that is my main beef with the US distributor of this model.

    A There is a co2crea brand case that sells for about $19.95. It fits perfectly. The other co2crea case for $10.99 does not fit the Omron BP7450 model

  38. Q My father in law is not tech savvy and probably won’t use the app, but this unit has the best reviews. Is this pretty easy to read?
    A Yes, everything appears clearly on the screen and the APP is basically a way to store settings although the unit itself stores previous readings. You don't even have to adjust the cuff as you used to with the older ones - you simply stick your arm in there and it self adjusts.
  39. Q Does this monitor show Irrigular heart beat,
    A Yes it does, however I refuse to buy another one through Amazon, my machine broke and it is covered under manufacturer warranty but I couldn't get ahold of a customer service representative and when I did they were like it's past warranty. Now I have to replace it because being a high risk person, I refuse to go to the post office or mail stops. My next one definitely won't be through them.

    A You need tubing for vacuum, which is needed to inflate the cuff. The unit is wireless in that your data is easily transferred to the app for historical purposes. You can also program Alexa to store your info.
  44. Q What are the measurement ranges for systolic and diastolic?
    A The machine ranges from very high(200) to very low(below 40). The normal B/P is considered to be in the range of 120/80, although the new thought is a systolic of less than 120.
  45. Q What is the differences between platinium and 10 series please ??
    A I have a chart with the differences. Platinum has Morning Hypertension Indicator, Morning Average/Week, storage case, and an available optional cuff. Last, the 10 series has an ‘Easy-Wrap ComFit 9"-17"’ cuff, while the Platinum has a ‘Wide-Range D-Ring 9”-17”’ cuff. I picked the 10 because its cuff name has the word Easy in it, seriously :) I think its cuff probably has more of a pre-formed curve. I do like it.

    A This is one of the best rated BP monitors. I did my research before purchasing and i will tell you this is the one to have It is factory calibrated and does not need self calibration as it has an average mode which takes 3 consecutive readings and provides the average. instead of buying a new one see if a friend has one and try theirs and compare readings. We have three different brands in our house and this one is the most consistent and accurate
  54. Q Does itcome with a charger, rather than using batteries?
    A No, because batteries are non-rechargeable. Bit it comes with an AC adapter so if batteries are dead you can still operate it using a wall outlet.

    A We use IOS phones, but it shouldn’t make a difference. Works great for 2 different people.

    A It works either way. Works great and easy.

    A The cuff that comes with it fits arms between 9" and 17" in circumference.

    A The unit I received was made in Vietnam (Both monitor and cuff).

    A OMRON monitors when used within the manual guidelines should compare to a Doctors reading within +-2/3%. The tru read feature is what the consumer is asking about. Yes this unit does this, the user has to turn it on. The feature is per user so if user 1 wants to use Tru Read and user 2 does not they do not have to.
